The following 10-week courses provide students with an understanding of various hotel operational aspects and will prepare you for a job starting this summer!  The hospitality industry is expanding and in need of talent, trained and  professional employees.

Professional Qualifications in Rooms Division

Description

This course is designed to equip students with technical skills to enable them acquire an entry position in any reception or housekeeping department of a hotel.   A blend of practical training and classroom theory enhances the student’s confidence in carrying out the tasks of a receptionist, guest relations officer, concierge, or housekeeping supervisor, and at the same time strengthens their customer service skills.

Professional Qualifications in Food & Beverage Management

Description

This course is designed to equip students with technical skills to enable them acquire an entry position in any food and beverage operation.  A blend of practical training and classroom theory enhances the student’s confidence in carrying out the tasks of a food and beverage operator and at the same time strengthens their customer service skills.  The curriculum is based on the respective module descriptors of the Swiss Alpine Diploma in Hotel Management, and includes an industry placement of 20 weeks.

  • Food & Beverage Practical Classes in the Restaurant (serving lunch over 4 days a week)
  • Food & Beverage Planning & Control and/or Restaurant Operations Management (depending on which semester you join)
