This premium intensive one day course is aimed at developing the knowledge and skills of participants on safety and security situation awareness, teamwork, decision-making, communication, automation, and safety culture. Terrorism ties and political agendas are the latest trend in motivation for stealing cargo and ships, suggesting that "modern pirates" are increasing the violence and the severity of the attacks

This one day course in maritime security and safety training is for all captains, officers, watch keepers, masters, chief officers, safety or security representatives or officers, crew and seafarers who are about to serve or already serving onboard a vessel carrying passengers. In recent years, the maritime industry has been broadly evaluating security at its facilities and voluntarily taking actions to improve security as deemed appropriate based on shipping trade area, geographic location, potential risk and risk attacks, as well as the surrounding communities.
